* The Parasitology Lecture on 30.11.2010 has been changed from 2pm to 1pm and will be held at the usual lecture hall. (to give space for Virtual Lab Class of Gp.11)

* Students who are going to be attending the Virtual Lab class are advised to do some revision on previous topics learned for better understanding while operating the simulation of drugs system during the lab hour.

* Reminder : There will be a continuous assestment test of Pathology on "Infection" for Gp.11 during the Practical Slides Class on Wednesday (01.12.2010). Please be prepared!

* The next Microb's Tuition Class will be on Monday (29.11.2010) at 5.30pm (no more trial kay..). Those who had confirmed to take the class can start to pay the fee for this semester which is 350L.E to Miss Lisa starting on this Monday.

* The dateline for submission of Weekly Questions Answer (W1) is on this Tuesday (30.11.2010). You can pass up your answers to any subject representatives.

Pharma's Virtual Lab

The Pharmacology department has added a new programme to enhance and improve our skills in Practicing Pharmacology in Medicine. The VIRTUAL LAB CLASS will be started by this week. We will be provided by a computer for each student and with guide of several tutors, we will be able to visualize the action of certain drugs to certain organ using special computer software.

Each student are compulsory to attend this class as it is included as one of Practical Session and attendance will be taken. This is the only Virtual Lab class we are going to have for this year. So please grab this gold chance!

In case if you guys do not know the place whereabout, the Virtual Lab is located at the ground floor of old Pharma Building (our lecture hall building), beside the skill lab. (you can ask our 4th and 5th years seniors to be sure)

Below are the schedule for the classes :
(please be sure of your practical number before looking at your group and date)



First week : Group 11----- Number 1-50-----30.11.2010 (2-3pm)


Second week : (No Malaysian Students Group Class, postpone due to Awal Muharram's Holiday)

Fourth week : Group 11 ----- Number 51-66 ----- 20.12.2010 (1-3pm)

Attention to practical members of Group 11 holding number 1-50, your Pharmacology Virtual Lab Class is on this COMING TUESDAY. Please take note and dont play truant yeah!


NOTE : This Lab Class might clash with our lecture hour. We will TRY to adjust the lecture class to the other free time if possible which will be informed later. But if in case we could'nt, please put the Virtual Lab class at the first place.

Microb's Presentation > New System

In conjunction of the first presentation day for group 11 this morning, here are some reminders and advices to all dear friends:

- Please do not take it easy of this task as the Microb's Department Coordinators are very strict and serious this year. Unlike our previous year's presentation.

- Any students who does not attend the meeting with your supervisor, your group mark for cooperation will be deducted. While those who absent during the presentation day will have no second chance. So, please do not skip practical classes of Microb as it might be either 2 or 3 group presentation  for each session.

- The duration of presentation is maximum 15min with 7-10 slides only per group.

- Presentation will be held at the first hour of the practical session. Do not come late!

- Please bring along your green logbook in case if the examiner wants to record your mark in the book.

- Do not forget to wear you labcoat.

- It is advisable to give chance for all group members to speak and present according to subelements of the topic.

- Please be well-prepared with your presentation several weeks before the expected date in case if the examiner pick/skip the presenter group randomly.

- Make sure that you recheck your final work before the presentation day with your supervisor.


NOTE : This guidelines is a sharing according to the experience of the presentation of group 11. All students of both groups are advisable to take note of this guidelines.

In order to help us in learning process throughout this year, a new program has been planned involving all the third year students.

PAST YEARS QUESTIONS ACTIVITY.

- Past years questions will be divided according to certain topics weekly.
- Every week, there will be questions from each subject posted in the MEDCLICK blog, related to topics that we have learned throughout the week.
- Each of us is advised to complete this task and submit it to our subject leaders. By the end of every week (Thursday), our answers will be marked by doctors from each department.
- Later, the right answers according to the marking scheme will be posted in the blog.
- At the end of the year, we can compile these answers as a whole for easy references and revision for the upcoming final exams. 
- We are really hoping that we can cooperate to do it together and there will be no more last minute preparations.

Anak-anak yang bergelar pelajar perubatan ( di mana jua anda berada)
¦Ibu dan ayah kepada anak-anak di atas

Sedikit pesanan ini dinukilkan oleh seorang yang pernah menjadi pelajar perubatan ( 1986-1991), sudah bergelar doktor selama lebih 19 tahun, menjadi pakar O&G dan pendidik kepada ribuan pelajar perubatan selama 13 tahun. Namun belum berpeluang menjadi ibu kepada seorang pelajar perubatan lagi setakat ini.


Anak-anakku,
Kalian sebenarnya bertuah dipilih Allah SWT mempelajari satu bidang yang amat besar faedah dan manfaatnya buat manusia dan dunia. Apapun yang mendorong kalian membuat keputusan menjadikan bidang ini pilihan, kalian sudah sampai di sini! Betapa ramai rakan kalian yang mengidamkan kerusi yang kalian duduki sekarang ini.

Harapnya, dorongan itu bukanlah semata-mata mahu mencuba nasib, memenuhi hajat dan hasrat kedua ibu bapa dan keluarga yang mahu seorang bergelar `Doktor’ dalam salasilah keturunan, ataupun ingin sentiasa bersama dgn rakan karib lain yang kebetulan juga mendapat tawaran yang sama!

Melihat betapa berlumba-lumba kalian merebut tempat di sekolah perubatan, rasanya seperti ada kempen ` Satu Keluarga Seorang Doktor’ lagaknya.

Jangan kalian terkejut nanti – dengan realiti pengorbanan yang mesti kalian lalui. Perubatan adalah satu lapangan yang perlukan komitmen pembelajaran sepanjang hayat. Kalian sendiri yang perlu mencetus keghairahan mahu menuntut ilmu, bukannya hanya berharap dan bergantung sepenuhnya kepada tenaga pendidik yang menunjuk ajar. Kalian akan mulai mendengar perkataan ` self-directed learning- SDL’, student-centred education, life-long learning, community-based learning, inter-professional learning dll.

Pengajar kalian bukan hanya professor dan pensyarah perubatan, malahan yang bergelar pesakit itulah yang paling banyak mengajar dan memberi tunjuk ajar. Para jururawat adalah mentor yang paling berpengalaman dan perlu diberi penghormatan.

Yang paling utama, akhlak kalian – menjadi pembeza utama antara pengamal perubatan yang mulia dan doktor yang angkuh. Bertuahlah bagi kalian yang sememangnya sudah berbekal dgn didikan sempurna, penuh budi bahasa, tata tertib dan sopan santun yang tinggi semenjak dari rumah lagi. Malanglah kalian yang serba kekurangan dalam aspek ini, sekalipun kalian begitu cerdas mengumpul deretan `A+’ dalam transkrip keputusan peperiksaan saban semester.

Untuk para ibu dan ayah kepada anak-anak yang bergelar pelajar perubatan,
Mohon dipastikan kalian sudah menyediakan anak-anak kalian dengan baik dan sempurna – terutamanya dalam aspek rohaniah dan akhlaqiah mereka. Mereka akan menjadi doktor perubatan – bukan calang-calang profesyen! Pastikan mereka menjadi pengamal perubatan yang tawadhuk dan sentiasa berhubung erat dengn Rabb.. Selitkan doa yang tidak pernah kunjung padam setiap masa dan ketika, moga Allah SWT memberi bimbinganNya buat anak-anak ini.

Sekiranya kalianlah menjadi SEBAB utama anak-anak berada di sekolah perubatan hari ini, sedangkan itu bukan keinginan dan minat mereka sendiri, bersedialah untuk meminta maaf kepada mereka – terutamanya jika mereka akan berhadapan dgn kesukaran dan keperitan memenuhi hajat dan cita-cita kalian itu. Sokong dan dokonglah mereka sehingga ke akhir nanti – kerana cubaan dan dugaan yang perlu anak-anak ini hadapi bukanlah setakat semasa dalam latihan sahaja, malahan yang lebih mencabar adalah ketika terpikul di bahu mereka tanggungjawab dan amanah yang berat apabila bergelar doktor nanti!

InsyaAllah, kalian akan sentiasa dilindungi Allah SWT dari segala bencana selagi mana penggantungan hanyalah kepada Allah semata-mata.\

Berkenaan Buku Teks

Perhatian kepada semua siswa/siswi.. sila selesaikan urusan pengambilan buku teks di Pejabat Mr.Ibrahim secepat mungkin sebelum11.11.2010 (Khamis) kerana kaunter akan ditutup selepas Cuti Raya Haji. Kaunter tersebut hanya dibuka untuk urusan pengambilan buku-buku lain (selain buku-buku yang dicatatkan dalam checklist). Pegawai yang bertugas tidak akan melayan sebarang rayuan selepas ini. ...sambungan kepada pengumuman Jihad di kelas hari ini (08.11.2010)...

Bersempena dengan Sambutan Hari Raya Korban yang bakal tiba, batch tahun 3 bercadang untuk bergabung untuk menumbangkan sekurang-kurangnya seekor lembu sebagai korban, memandangkan lebih banyak sumbangan diperlukan.

Anggaran : 100le bagi 10 orang (1 bahagian lembu)

Sesiapa yang berminat untuk menyumbang bolehlah memberi nama dan menjelaskan bayaran kepada wakil tempahan Amar Khalil (0112667269 - amar_x0x) atau Syazwana Saadon (0119162976 - wardahsafwah) secepat mungkin.

Tarikh tutup tempahan adalah pada 11.11.2010.

Cadangan sumbangan ini tiada paksaan untuk sesiapapun, sekadar ingin mengajak siswa/siswi bergabung bersama-sama untuk menjalani ibadah berkorban. Mungkin tidak mampu untuk membeli satu bahagian (7++ l.e), jadi inilah salah satu cara kita untuk berkorban walaupun sedikit. InsyaAllah, ada pahalanya di sisi Allah jika kita lakukan dengan ikhlas..

Marilah bersama-sama mengagungkan hari kebesaran Islam. Takbir!!!
